Job Description
Traffic or ITS Engineer supporting various offices remotely across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest, delivering traffic analysis and technical documentation. Join AECOM to help shape communities through innovative infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support a team of professionals to deliver: Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design
- Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
- Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects
- Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables
- Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation
- Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards
- Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Requirements:
- BA/BS and 6 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or Professional Traffic Operations Engineering (PTOE) License
- 7 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms.
