Job Description
Responsible for administering and supporting Cisco UCS compute and VMware virtualization platforms in Costa Rica. Ensuring infrastructure stability and collaborating with storage and network teams.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Cisco UCS B-Series and C-Series environments using UCS Manager.
- Manage service profiles, firmware upgrades, hardware policies, and system configurations.
- Support and maintain VMware vSphere environments running on UCS platforms.
- Troubleshoot hardware, virtualization, and performance-related issues.
- Collaborate closely with storage and network teams to ensure integrated infrastructure operations.
- Monitor system health, capacity, and performance to prevent service disruptions.
- Participate in infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
- Document configurations, procedures, and operational best practices.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience administering Cisco UCS environments.
- Strong expertise with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
- Solid understanding of data center hardware and infrastructure components.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure teams.
- Clear communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with firmware lifecycle management and hardware standardization (optional).
- Familiarity with storage or network platforms commonly integrated with UCS (optional).
- Relevant Cisco or VMware certifications (optional).
- Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical systems (optional).
