Job Description
Video Editor responsible for editing and optimizing video ads for ecommerce platform. Collaborating with teams to enhance creative performance and maintain brand voice.
Responsibilities:
- Edit scroll-stopping short-form video ads for paid media across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms
- Turn raw footage and creative briefs into high-performing ad creative
- Produce multiple versions of ads for testing, including hooks, formats, CTAs, and aspect ratios
- Use AI tools strategically to improve editing speed, streamline repetitive tasks, and unlock more creative variations for testing
- Create motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance video ads (text overlays, product callouts, kinetic typography, etc.)
- Contribute ideas to improve ad performance, including hooks, pacing, structure, and storytelling
- Support organic social content for Instagram and Facebook as needed
- Edit short-form video content to educate and support customers across the site
- Optimize creative based on performance data, testing results, and brand guidelines
- Work closely with the marketing team to review performance data and iterate on creative based on results
- Maintain organized project files and creative libraries
- Ensure all creative aligns with Doc’s Diesel’s brand voice and no-B.S. standards
- Execute consistently in a fast-paced, high-volume creative environment
Requirements:
- Degree in video production, film, graphic design, marketing, or related field or 2+ years of hands-on experience editing video for ecommerce or DTC brands
- Strong hands-on experience editing video ads
- Strong proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro or similar)
- Experience with motion graphics and animation tools (Adobe After Effects or similar)
- Experience creating static ad assets or graphics (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar)
- Understanding of paid media creative best practices (hooks, CTAs, formats, iterations)
- Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and follow creative direction
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on creative
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
