Job Description
Virtual Camp Counselor leading music, art, games, and movement activities for Steve & Kate’s online camp. Supervising campers ages 3–12 while promoting safety, wellness, and inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate virtual activities for campers ages 3–12
- Create and lead at least 3 activities per session, including music, art, games, and movement
- Make connections with campers and monitor their safety and wellness
- Attend virtual staff meetings and collaborate and communicate with the virtual camp team
- Actively supervise campers and monitor how they are feeling throughout each session
- Adapt sessions for children of all abilities
- Create an engaging and safe space for campers
- Maintain an appropriate remote workspace
- Ensure compliance with camp policies
- Report and record notable concerns, incidents, and injuries
Requirements:
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp-age children in a professional, personal, or volunteer setting; 1 year preferred
- Stable internet connection
- A device with a webcam for leading Zoom meetings
- Legally authorized to work in the US
