Job Description
Virtual Tutor at Step Up Tutoring providing 1-on-1 support for 2nd-6th grade students. Helping build fundamental math and literacy skills through online programs.
Responsibilities:
- Work virtually with students in 2nd-6th grade for 45-minute sessions, a minimum of twice a week.
- Tutor/Mentor a minimum of 3 students.
- Focus on building fundamental math and literacy skills using evidence-based online programs.
- Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
- Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
Requirements:
- No tutoring experience required
- Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at Liberty University
- Have Federal Work Study eligibility
- Have 7 to 20 hours of work availability per week
- Must pass various background checks
- Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan
- Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving federal, state, or local government funds
