Job Description
Traveling Wind Technician I responsible for maintaining and optimizing wind turbines across multiple sites. Involves extensive travel to support renewable energy solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of wind turbines
- Conduct inspections to identify wear and tear and recommend proactive maintenance strategies
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure tools and equipment are in top working condition
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to meet project timelines and safety standards
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience as a wind technician (required)
- Preferred Certification : GE 1X and 2X LOTO Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work at heights exceeding 300 feet and in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Flexibility to travel extensively and work in remote locations
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards
