Job Description
2nd Engineer responsible for engine room operations at CSM Romania. Overseeing maintenance, safety compliance, and crew management on a Ro-Ro cargo vessel.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the engine room and other machinery equipment.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily engine room operations.
- Supervise maintenance and repair of main engine, auxiliaries, and machinery.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor fuel, lube oil, and machinery performance.
- Lead engine room watchkeeping and manage engine crew.
- Ensure safety, pollution prevention, and compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Experience in Rank 12 months with Engine type (4 stroke)
- Experience on Electronic engines (RT Flex - ME) is preferred.
- Holder of a valid COC (STCW Reg III/2) with verification.
- Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position.
- Experience in repairs and dry docking is required.
- Experience with a multicultural working environment.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Effective English communication.
