Job Description

3D Animator collaborating on diverse animation tasks for high-fidelity character performances and narrative cinematics. Helping to bring characters and worlds to life within a creative community.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on a diverse range of animation tasks, including keyframe, motion capture, in-game, or cinematic sequence work.
  • Work alongside Animation Directors and Leads to maintain artistic consistency and project vision.
  • Participate in the creative life of the studio through dailies, reviews, and department meetings.
  • Translate feedback into high-quality movement that enhances the overall storytelling and player experience.
  • Communicate with production teams to ensure creative and technical milestones are met.

Requirements:

  • A strong grasp of animation principles, anatomy, and the ability to convey emotion through movement.
  • Proficient experience in Autodesk Maya.
  • A dedication to using research and reference to create grounded, believable performances.
  • A professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
  • A willingness to learn new workflows and problem-solve creative challenges.
  • Bonus Points
  • Working understanding of Unreal Engine.
  • Experience working with or cleaning up MoCap data.
  • A passion for creature animation or nuanced facial performance.
  • Experience animating for gameplay mechanics, including an understanding of state machines, transitions, and player feel.
