Job Description
3D Technical Artist optimizing assets for Unity with a focus on VR and Mobile projects. Collaborate with teams to enhance creation pipelines and develop visual properties through shaders.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize materials, models, and textures in Unity, ensuring the best balance between performance and visual fidelity
- Work on mesh optimization, including creation, preparation, and export workflows
- Keep projects organized by using the minimal necessary number of materials and textures
- Operate within a structured pipeline, adhering to technical constraints and production guidelines
- Collaborate with the CG Lead and Pipeline Manager to improve the 3D model creation and import pipeline
- Create and edit shaders and materials using Shader Graph and/or HLSL
- Develop procedural and parametric shaders to enable dynamic control of visual properties and real-time optimizations
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Unity (focus on VR and/or Mobile)
- Solid knowledge of 3D asset optimization for real-time applications
- Experience with Shader Graph and/or HLSL
- Good organizational skills and attention to technical details
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Prior experience with virtual reality projects (advantageous)
- Knowledge of production pipelines for real-time applications (advantageous)
- Experience with tools such as Blender, Maya, or similar (advantageous)
