Job Description

Senior Unity Programmer building Cat simulator software for training and education. Designing complex real-time systems, optimizing C# performance, and integrating assets, hardware, and external platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex systems and tools within Unity
  • Develop and maintain Unity-based simulation products for training and education
  • Build, refine, and troubleshoot physical simulation behaviors, terrain-driven workflows, constraints, interactions, and real-time simulation processes
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, producers, QA, and developers to implement features
  • Write clean, maintainable, documented, and efficient C# code
  • Debug, profile, and optimize code for performance, stability, and scalability across platforms
  • Contribute to architecture decisions for systems used across multiple products or large feature sets
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle from concept through delivery in an agile environment
  • Integrate 3D assets, animations, sound, external systems, and hardware interfaces into Unity applications
  • Contribute to technical design documentation, code reviews, and development best practices
  • Mentor junior developers and support technical excellence

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional programming experience in the simulation, game, interactive software industry, or a related field
  • Expert-level proficiency with Unity and C#
  • Strong experience developing systems and features within Unity across varied technical domains
  • Understanding of real-time simulation principles, physical systems, interactions, and performance constraints
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development best practices
  • Hands-on experience with profiling and optimization techniques
  • Experience with source/version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on time-sensitive projects with changing technical priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate technical concepts
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check
