Job Description

Non-profit accountant maintaining books and financial records for Bay Business Group’s remote accounting clients. Preparing statements, reconciliations, payroll, budgeting, and tax filings.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with client projects
  • Assist with year-end close and tax filings as needed
  • Manage client relationships and handle client concerns
  • Provide timely financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience ideally focused specifically on the non-profit sector or fund accounting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Experience managing multiple clients
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work during normal business hours to support clients
