Job Description
Entry-Level Accountant managing accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Supporting MCI’s tech-enabled CX, BPO, and technology services business.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation
- Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions
- Enter accounts payable bills and credit card transactions as needed
- Perform month-end closing and reconciliation
- Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information
- Perform bank reconciliation
- Support department peers as needed
- Maintain accounting records, financial reporting, controls, and budgets designed to mitigate risk and ensure GAAP compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience; 1–2 years of accrual basis accounting experience
- Experience with accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact within all levels of the organization
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects
- Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, able to prioritize, and able to work independently
- Self-motivated and directed
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Must be willing to submit to a Level II background and/or security investigation with fingerprint
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening
