Job Description
Accountant managing financial accounting for Paaschburg & Wunderlich, a leading motorcycle distributor in Europe. Involving in financial reporting, payment management, and tax submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ongoing financial accounting (general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable)
- Posting all business transactions, including accruals as well as period-end and interim postings
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Organizing and executing domestic and international payment transactions
- Monitoring open items and managing the dunning/collections process
- Active receivables management to ensure liquidity
- Preparing and timely submitting statutory filings (e.g., VAT returns and EC Sales Lists)
- Liaising with tax advisors, auditors, tax authorities and social security agencies
- Supporting the optimization of accounting processes and workflows
- Assisting with organizational and administrative tasks within the finance department
Requirements:
- Completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualification as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) or certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Several years of professional experience in financial and/or balance sheet accounting
- Confident use of ERP systems and payment transaction tools
- Solid experience posting all types of business transactions
- Ideally experience with SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Concur
- Experienced in working with common payment systems
- Good written and spoken English
- Independent, structured and detail-oriented working style
- Strong sense of responsibility and discretion
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Analytical mindset and strong affinity for numbers
