Job Description

Accountant managing financial accounting for Paaschburg & Wunderlich, a leading motorcycle distributor in Europe. Involving in financial reporting, payment management, and tax submissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ongoing financial accounting (general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable)
  • Posting all business transactions, including accruals as well as period-end and interim postings
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Organizing and executing domestic and international payment transactions
  • Monitoring open items and managing the dunning/collections process
  • Active receivables management to ensure liquidity
  • Preparing and timely submitting statutory filings (e.g., VAT returns and EC Sales Lists)
  • Liaising with tax advisors, auditors, tax authorities and social security agencies
  • Supporting the optimization of accounting processes and workflows
  • Assisting with organizational and administrative tasks within the finance department

Requirements:

  • Completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualification as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) or certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
  • Several years of professional experience in financial and/or balance sheet accounting
  • Confident use of ERP systems and payment transaction tools
  • Solid experience posting all types of business transactions
  • Ideally experience with SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Concur
  • Experienced in working with common payment systems
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Independent, structured and detail-oriented working style
  • Strong sense of responsibility and discretion
  • Excellent communication and team skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong affinity for numbers
