Job Description
HR Director managing employee relations and HR functions for a remote national CPA firm. Overseeing compliance and implementing HR strategies effectively while working with a diverse client base.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage HR staff and provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Monitor HR metrics, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to management
- Coordinate employee benefits, payroll, and professional development programs
- Resolve workplace conflicts and provide support to employees and management
- Promote a positive workplace culture and foster employee engagement
- Maintain professional proficiency via continuing education and participation in HR professional organizations
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in HR management, preferably in a public accounting firm
- Proven experience managing HR staff and implementing HR strategies
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HR software (BambooHR, ADP, or similar)
- Ability to effectively communicate HR policies and procedures
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High degree of personal integrity and professional judgment
- Ability to work remotely and manage a distributed team
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, HR systems, and reporting
