Job Description
Professional Application Designer contributing with technology solutions for healthcare improvement. Designing and developing applications while collaborating with teams towards achieving better health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Apply your skills to support Gainwell as we help clients deliver better health and human services outcomes.
- Under general direction, designs and develops software and modification enhancements to applications through all phases of a system lifecycle.
- Contributes to the company's success through excellent customer service and meets or exceeds performance objectives.
- Performs assigned technical duties with minimal supervision.
- Ensures that all required project documentation, approvals, and transmitted references are complete as required during the project life cycle.
- Requires the ability to work on an “on call” basis during non-work hours.
- Designs, builds, and maintains major business programming applications of considerable complexity with a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the application.
- Analyzes, designs, and validates system requirements for new applications or for changes to existing applications.
- Collaborates with appropriate team members.
- Develops schedules and/or plans for projects or parts of projects and provides input on necessary resources for effective project execution.
- Identifies system design alternatives and implements the appropriate technical design.
- Reviews program code and test results for accuracy and for compliance to specifications and standards.
- Creates test plans and performs testing and debugging.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Software Development and N-Tiered WEB development
- Experience with: Visual Studio.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, Java Script, HTML, CSS, and AJAX
- In depth knowledge of SQL Server and knowledge of Oracle helpful
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to be flexible to changing requirements and ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, and customers.
