Job Description

Controls Design Modeler designing control systems for mission-critical projects. Supporting design and documentation for large-scale data centers with a focus on Revit-based design.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and documentation of control systems for mission-critical projects, including large-scale data centers.
  • Develop and produce control system design drawings and models using Revit.
  • Support the design of building automation and control systems for HVAC and related systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with layout, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel designs for control systems.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and consistent design delivery.
  • Contribute to low-voltage system design efforts, including controls, fire alarm, and related systems as needed.
  • Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project standards.
  • Support design reviews by incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions.
  • Assist with the preparation of submittals, as-built drawings, and commissioning documentation.
  • Follow internal QA/QC processes and applicable industry standards and codes.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in controls design, building systems, or extra low-voltage systems.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required - not less than 1 year of constant using.
  • Basic understanding of BAS/BMS systems, DDC controls, and integration with HVAC systems.
  • Exposure to fire alarm and/or other low-voltage systems (security, communications) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow technical direction.
