Job Description
Application Engineer supporting Cimatron’s integrated CAD/CAM software for mold and die design and manufacturing in Mexico. Delivering sales demos, training, implementations, and technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver product and solution technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept for prospective customers
- Provide technical input to the sales team during proposal development
- Prepare product technical content for regional marketing campaigns
- Represent the organization at trade shows, seminars, webinars, and industry events
- Plan and conduct customer and reseller training sessions and workshops
- Manage complex technical support cases for Cimatron CAD products and solutions
- Resolve customer issues within SLAs and support customer satisfaction
- Manage implementation projects including installation, configuration, and workflow optimization
- Mentor reseller application engineers and drive technical enablement
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations, customizations, and best practices
- Share customer feedback and solution requests with the product team
- Participate in beta testing and evaluate new product releases
- Report software bugs and improvement requests to development
- Monitor CAD/CAM/CAE technology, mold design and manufacturing trends, and competitive technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, tool design, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in the CAD/CAM industry, focused on mold design and manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with Cimatron or equivalent CAD/CAM systems
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding flow simulation software, such as Inspire Mold, preferred
- Overall knowledge of CAM programming is an advantage
- Strong domain knowledge of mold design and manufacturing processes
- Expertise in mold design using CAD/CAE tools
- Proficiency in Cimatron CAD, Mold, and Electrode, or equivalent CAD/CAM software
- Team leadership and mentoring abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-centric approach focused on solution delivery
- Willingness to travel 40–50% for prospect visits, product demonstrations, proofs of concept, customer training, implementations, and industry events
