Job Description
Senior Application Development Engineer building SQL Server, C#, and SSIS healthcare correspondence systems at Centene. Supporting claims data, letter generation, ETL workflows, and enterprise healthcare reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions
- Collaborate with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and subject matter experts
- Provide design, technical analysis, development/configuration, testing, implementation, and support expertise
- Create, optimize, and re-engineer Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and tables for correspondence data
- Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application using SQL Server, C#, Word document generation, and SSIS PDF conversion
- Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows
- Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch
- Perform data analysis, testing, and production support
- Research and resolve data, performance, and letter-generation issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including designs, data flows, and support procedures
- Articulate issues to business and technical stakeholders and design/model solutions
- Contribute to data mart development, EDI X12 processes, EDW feeds, and report development
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all policies and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
- 4–6 years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill
- 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development, including T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, and performance tuning
- 3+ years of C# development
- 3+ years of SSIS development
- Experience with EDI preferred
- Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care Data preferred
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred
