Job Description
North America Defense Application Engineer handling technical sales for military base electrification projects. Providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle with defense-focused programs.
Responsibilities:
- The North America Defense Application Engineer will be responsible for technical sales for defense-focused programs
- Providing technical leadership across the sales project lifecycle, from requirements definition and system architecture through proposal submission, design reviews, and customer engagement
- Act as a key technical interface with defense customers, prime contractors, and internal engineering, product management, and program teams to ensure solutions meet functional requirements, technical/environmental standards, and mission objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience, including application engineering, systems engineering, or power systems roles supporting complex technical programs
- At least 3 years of experience writing technical proposals for electrical systems
- Demonstrated experience working in defense, naval, or government‑funded programs, including direct interaction with customers and program stakeholders
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
- Ability to travel up to 20% based on the business needs
