Job Description
Application Engineer administering CRM, contact center, and AI platforms for Pearl, a home-performance ratings company. Automating Customer Operations through integrations, conversational AI, and reliable workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and configure the CRM platform, including objects, properties, workflows, automation, permissions, data quality, and standard integrations
- Implement business-requested CRM changes without outside development support
- Administer the contact center stack across voice, chat, email, and ticketing
- Configure routing rules, escalation paths, SLA logic, queues, business hours, phone, and messaging
- Configure, tune, and maintain AI voice and chat agents
- Maintain prompts, knowledge sources, and connected actions
- Review live AI sessions, identify poor performance, and correct agents
- Build practical AI and agentic automations for data preparation, ticket triage, routine reporting, and content generation
- Connect Customer Operations platforms using APIs, native connectors, and integration tooling
- Monitor integrations and diagnose and resolve data-flow failures
- Document system configurations and connections
- Train team members and maintain runbooks
- Evaluate new tools and recommend them to the Director of Customer Experience and Revenue Operations Manager
- Support testing of platform features and releases
- Participate in customer and agent conversations to inform configuration priorities
- Regularly self-educate on CRM, contact center, and AI agent tooling
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience administering a CRM platform; HubSpot preferred, with Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar acceptable
- Experience with CRM objects and properties, workflow automation, permissions, and data quality
- Hands-on experience administering a contact center or helpdesk platform across voice, chat, and ticketing
- Experience with routing and escalation configuration
- Familiarity with APIs and system connections
- Ability to read API documentation, configure and test integrations, and troubleshoot data-flow problems
- Working familiarity with AI agents and large language model tools
- Experience configuring agents, writing and refining prompts, connecting agents to knowledge sources and actions, and assessing output quality
- Basic agentic automation capability using current AI tooling and low-code or light scripting approaches
- Comfort working with non-deterministic AI output and testing for reliability
- Ability to translate business requirements into working system configurations
- Strong troubleshooting skills across connected systems
- Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
- Organized and able to manage and independently prioritize a queue of requests
- Required to answer four short questions about hands-on experience as part of the application
