Job Description
Application Support Engineer managing email platforms for Managed Services customers, resolving tickets and ensuring optimal operation. Collaborating with helpdesk and infrastructure support teams for proactive management.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating and managing large-scale email platforms for Managed services customers
- Respond to and resolve tickets created by Customer representatives, within contracted SLAs, communicating updates through the life of the ticket
- Develop strong working relationship with customer helpdesk and other infrastructure support teams
- Proactive monitoring and management of the platform to ensure optimal operation
- Participate in Problem Management activities, identify underlying common issues and preventing issues before they occur
Requirements:
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent with at least 1+ years of experience in related industry
- Good Linux skills, RHCE or similar skill level
- Preferred knowledge of SMTP, POP, IMAP, TCP/IP, DNS technologies
- Experience in shell and perl scripting is preferred
- Good understanding of Messaging Systems Communication and Internet Protocols
- Highly analytical with the ability to derive facts quickly, methodically, and accurately, articulate these in a way that customers can understand
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
