Job Description
Applications Engineer supporting BPA’s case-packing and tray-packing technologies for U.S.-based Latin American sales teams. Preparing technical proposals, optimizing product lines, and collaborating with customers, suppliers, and engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare proposals and technical documents for prospective clients, including design, pricing, and customer specifications
- Maintain the CRM daily
- Maintain the standard pricing structure
- Consult with the engineering department on non-standard applications
- Communicate with internal and external customers
- Communicate with suppliers
- Optimize product lines for specific technologies from cost and technical perspectives
- Research new technologies and advancements and implement them as applicable
- Review customer specifications
- Represent BPA at relevant industry trade shows
- Travel up to 15% as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, mechanical design, or a related discipline
- A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
- Spoken and written fluency in Spanish and English required
- AutoCAD required
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Forward-thinking
- Strong networking capabilities to build and maintain long-term relationships
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
- Applicants must be capable of traveling as required
- BPA will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
- Employment offer is contingent on successfully passing a drug screen and background check
- Portuguese fluency preferred
- Experience with ABB and Fanuc robots preferred
- Experience with AB control platforms preferred
