Job Description

Architectural Designer creating construction documents for Sevan’s multi-site commercial clients. Supporting restaurant, retail, grocery, and fuel projects with U.S.-based architecture teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate, complete, and code-compliant construction documents
  • Provide technical and creative design solutions aligned with program intent
  • Determine appropriate building components and their design application
  • Meet project schedules, deadlines, and commitments
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies
  • Notify the supervisor of project-scope changes and advise on the need for change-order proposals
  • Apply building codes and ADA requirements
  • Conduct municipal due diligence regarding zoning and building-code requirements
  • Resolve plan-review comments from code officials
  • Liaise with code officials, consultants, suppliers, and contractors regarding construction documents
  • Review others’ work and provide feedback and technical direction
  • Pursue professional development with supervisors and peers
  • Participate in developing junior team members
  • Work independently or with minimal supervision on large-scope, complex projects
  • Represent the company at client project meetings when needed
  • Visit project sites to verify scope, existing conditions, and related matters
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, licensed architect or pursuing license, or 1+ years professional experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and advanced techniques
  • Expertise in drawings, specifications, and building materials
  • Ability to complete complicated and difficult architectural assignments and large, complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to execute and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in REVIT (required), AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Photoshop, SketchUp, Smartsheet, and 3Ds Max is a plus
  • Architectural license or pursuing license highly preferred
  • Full professional fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Comfort working in an English-speaking environment and communicating with U.S.-based colleagues and clients
  • Availability to work standard U.S. business hours
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and manage time effectively across multiple projects and deadlines
  • Flexibility to work multi-shift schedules and fluid schedules as needed
