Job Description

Architectural Surveyor Intern capturing building data for Sevan’s nationwide construction and architecture services. Using LIDAR, AutoCAD, and survey tools across traveling project sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate LIDAR scanning equipment to document visual and dimensional data at project sites
  • Use laser, tape, scanner, and other survey tools to gather, verify, and document dimensions
  • Register laser scan point clouds using various software
  • Collect existing-conditions data from building sites and provide photographic documentation
  • Assist in creating as-built drawings, including floor plans, elevations, RCPs, roof plans, and site plans, using AutoCAD and potentially Revit
  • Identify and document specifications for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment
  • Create existing-condition drawings with AutoCAD or Revit based on scope requirements
  • Revise project deliverables based on redline correction sets and feedback
  • Prepare and deliver survey reports according to company and client requirements
  • Follow prescribed methods for documenting existing conditions
  • Follow safety protocols protecting people, client property, and equipment
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reporting
  • Work independently and alongside experienced members of the Reality Capture & BIM team
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • In progress: 4-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel by plane
  • Ability to lift extension ladders and climb ladders for roof access
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Willingness to work 40%-70% travel around the US
  • Flexibility to work multi-shift schedules and fluid working conditions
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds
  • Professional appearance and courteous interaction with on-site customers
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a diverse workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse workplace
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • REVIT experience preferred
