Job Description
Credit Manager overseeing national credit and collections for Simplot, a global food and agriculture company. Providing financial services, credit decisions, and analyst supervision across U.S. Turf & Horticulture operations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial strengths and weaknesses of prospective and existing customers to determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services
- Establish and maintain effective communication with a creditable information network
- Develop, implement, and manage collection procedures in accordance with established credit policies
- Manage the collections process, including follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past-due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies
- Provide insight for updating credit policy with new concepts and procedures
- Analyze and recommend specific reserves for bad debt expense when assigned
- Understand, communicate, and implement Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures
- Assist in providing and interpreting credit information for management and others as required
- Remain informed of agricultural trends, changes, and practices
- Oversee two Credit Analysts within the region
- Provide Area Financial Services coast-to-coast across the United States, including Hawaii
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university
- 5+ years related experience and/or training in Credit Management and Financial Services
- Ag Finance experience preferred but not required
- Turf & Horticulture experience preferred
- Must reside within the Central Time Zone, preferably within 50 miles of a major airport
- Must live within close proximity to a major airport for regional travel expectations
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Candidates must be able to satisfy a post-offer criminal background check if offered the position
