Job Description

Assistant General Counsel leading channel-partner legal strategy for Omnissa, an AI-driven digital work platform. Drafting agreements, scaling legal infrastructure, and advising global partner operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior legal advisor and primary escalation point for worldwide channel partner programs across all routes to market
  • Lead legal support for Omnissa’s global partner ecosystem, including distribution, resale, and managed service providers
  • Own the strategy for scaling legal support, including playbooks, templates, and contracting processes
  • Lead initiatives to drive automation and efficiency, including AI-enabled legal workflows
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex, high-visibility channel partner agreements
  • Partner with business leaders and sales, finance, operations, and compliance stakeholders to align legal strategy with business objectives
  • Review and help maintain program terms, including program guides, participation agreements, and incentives
  • Provide practical, risk-based guidance on contract interpretation, partner disputes, and enforcement of program terms
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Legal Team and broader Omnissa Legal Team
  • Potentially build and lead the partner legal team as the ecosystem scales

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience practicing law
  • Significant experience supporting a global channel partner ecosystem across multiple routes to market
  • Proven experience building channel partner programs and legal infrastructure
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex legal and commercial concepts clearly and concisely
  • Strong business judgment and ability to identify and mitigate legal and business risk
  • Ability to provide practical, actionable solutions supporting company strategy
  • Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to advise senior business stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset and track record of building cross-functional relationships
  • Intellectual curiosity and sound judgment
  • J.D. required
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required
  • Prior experience building or leading a partner legal team is a strong plus, not an absolute requirement
