Job Description
Associate Legal Counsel supporting MISUMI Americas, a digital manufacturing solutions provider. Handling contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate policies, and legal risk.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support in general corporate and commercial matters
- Negotiate and manage contracts
- Mitigate legal risk while considering business and operational needs
- Advise on legal issues relating to company business practices
- Review, draft, and assist in negotiating contracts, agreements, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures
- Assist with regulatory compliance issues
- Review and update confidentiality agreements
- Assist in developing legal training materials
- Maintain executed agreements and other corporate documents
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or other technical degrees are a plus)
- Juris Doctorate is required
- Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing to practice law in the United States
- Previous legal experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong analytic, critical thinking, and sound judgment abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Spanish/Japanese bilingual abilities and/or experience living in Japan or working with Japanese companies are a plus
- Ability to travel up to 5% annually
