Job Description

Associate Litigation Counsel managing and overseeing litigation across the U.S. and Canada for a growing real estate technology company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation disputes.
  • Oversee intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright enforcement.
  • Partner with business teams to proactively identify legal risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Select, manage, and supervise outside counsel.
  • Lead internal investigations, subpoena responses, and e-discovery processes.
  • Counsel internal stakeholders on legal risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop litigation strategies, support settlement negotiations, and assist with motion and brief drafting.
  • Monitor and advise on evolving legal and regulatory developments.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of experience in a law firm or a combination of law firm and in-house corporate legal environments.
  • Strong knowledge of complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and internal processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with legal technology and e-discovery platforms.
