Job Description
Azure Stack HCI Engineer managing Microsoft hybrid cloud infrastructure. Supporting virtualization, storage, networking, security, backups, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and support the Azure Stack HCI infrastructure, including creation, deployment, and administration of virtual machines, storage, and networking components
- Monitor Azure Stack HCI infrastructure performance and troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Ensure Azure Stack HCI deployments meet organizational security standards and compliance requirements
- Implement and manage access controls, firewalls, and encryption
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes
- Test and verify backup and recovery procedures regularly
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
- Maintain records of system performance, issues, and resolutions
- Provide technical consultation and advice to IT teams, business units, and management
- Collaborate with other teams on infrastructure projects and initiatives
- Participate in development and implementation of Azure Stack HCI security policies and procedures
- Identify potential performance problems
- Perform regular backups of Azure Stack HCI data
- Respond to Azure Stack HCI outages and incidents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Stack HCI certifications are highly desirable
- At least 3-5 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Azure Stack HCI or similar technologies
- In-depth understanding of Azure Stack HCI, hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and networking
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Azure services, and related Microsoft technologies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in Azure Stack HCI and related technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Storage Spaces Direct
- Experience with HCI architecture and design tools and technologies
- Experience with Azure Stack HCI troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
