Job Description
Backend Team Lead driving Node.js, AWS, and MongoDB engineering execution. Leading scalable cybersecurity product development, customer integrations, and team growth for the AI era.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery every sprint
- Own prioritization, capacity planning, and alignment on sprint goals
- Coordinate across teams, remove blockers, and manage dependencies
- Develop team velocity and capabilities through coaching, feedback, and gap identification
- Lead the design of scalable, reliable, and maintainable features
- Stay hands-on in high-scale, cloud-based development using Node.js, AWS, and MongoDB
- Conduct code reviews and promote architecture and performance best practices
- Partner with Product Managers to shape features from concept through release
- Join customer technical sessions to address requirements, challenges, and integrations
- Act as technical lead for the domain and liaise with Customer Success
- Drive technical decisions on product improvements and new capabilities
- Apply AI and modern tools to improve team speed and effectiveness
Requirements:
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical leadership or Team Lead role
- Deep hands-on expertise with Node.js — must-have
- Strong experience with AWS — must-have
- Experience with React — preferred
- Experience with Python — advantage
- Experience working with MongoDB
- Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems
- Proven experience managing technical execution across multiple workstreams
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, and clean code principles
- Experience delivering end-to-end features and projects from design through production
- Experience working in a fast-paced product environment
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to make technical decisions independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience leading or collaborating with global or distributed teams
- Ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience participating in customer-facing technical discussions
- AI-first mindset focused on software development and engineering productivity, developer experience, automated testing, technical prototyping, development workflows and internal processes, system performance and scalability
