Job Description

Behavioral Health Consultant II providing 24/7 crisis line services for up to 10 million lives in Massachusetts. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, assessment, and referral to behavioral health providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 24/7 Behavioral Health and Behavioral Health crisis line services
  • Responding to initial customer contacts and requests for services
  • Assessing client requests and determining appropriate course of action
  • Providing telephone support for crisis intervention, assessment, short term problem resolution and referral to appropriate provider(s)
  • Managing Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests
  • Assessing members and assisting them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits available under their health plan
  • Applying specialized knowledge in substance abuse, domestic abuse, grief counseling, workplace problems, and management consultation

Requirements:

  • Requires a HS diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience
  • Prior managed care experience
  • Current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor in applicable state(s)
  • MA/MS preferred
  • Independent licensure preferred
  • Crisis call center experience preferred
