Job Description
Bilingual Communications Coordinator supporting promotional materials and strategic communications for Bladder Cancer Canada. Focusing on patient engagement and multi-channel content creation with a remote work setup.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of promotional materials for BCC’s patient and volunteer programming
- Coordinate and implement the overall communications strategy for Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, volunteer and support program communications
- Monitor analytics and provide reports on all campaigns and initiatives, including social media analytics, website analytics, and newsletter analytics
- Lead copy creation, with responsibility for proofreading and content curation
- Contribute to content updates on the BCC website with current and relevant information
- Support the development of refreshed and streamlined branding assets (logos, tools and templates) and ensure consistency across all materials
- General communications support, such as collaborating with team members to develop educational resources and media kits
- Create marketing packages for support programs and promotion to health care professionals
- Participate in monthly all staff meetings and team discussions
- Collaborate with staff across departments to support communication needs
- Develop and execute a comprehensive promotional plan for BCC events, webinars and patient programs to increase awareness and engagement
- Design and administer surveys to engage with and gather insights from the patient community
- Reviewing podcast content and coordinating recording and publishing process with external partners
Requirements:
- Superior bilingual oral and written communication skills (English and French)
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, graphic design, marketing, journalism, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a communications or digital media role, with strong writing, design, editing, and storytelling skills
- Comfortable being on camera and recording video
- Understanding of patient and caregiver perspective, and volunteer audiences would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated success in creating promotional strategies that drive engagement and measurable outcomes
- Strong proficiency in social media platforms, scheduling tools, and design software such as Canva, Buffer and Meta
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g. Constant Contact), Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools like Zoom and Teams
- A self-directed work style paired with a commitment to teamwork and shared goals within a close-knit team
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working in a health-related field or non-profit organizations would be considered a strong asset
- Occasional evening and weekend work required to attend events and meetings
- Occasional national travel may be required
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
