Job Description
Billing analyst managing accurate client invoicing for Utility Revenue Services’ utility cost-recovery services. Improving billing workflows with modern tools, including AI, while supporting property-management clients.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how URS bills clients for audit, On-Call, and Development Services work
- Prepare and review monthly invoices for an assigned client or service portfolio
- Ensure every client is billed correctly and on time
- Respond to owners and property managers about invoices, fees, and account questions
- Explain charges in plain language and follow issues through to resolution
- Set up billing items, rates, and account details for new work
- Collaborate with Audit and Implementation teams on billing setup
- Identify manual and repetitive billing steps and improve them using tools, including AI
- Validate that billing process improvements work accurately
- Cover teammates’ accounts during absences and busy deadlines
Requirements:
- Entry-level candidates welcome; industry experience is not required
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Curiosity and willingness to investigate discrepancies
- Ability and drive to learn new tools and rules quickly
- Comfortable with careful data entry and data work
- Systems-thinking and process-improvement mindset
- Ability to use AI to build solutions, verify outputs, and explain results
- Desire to grow into more responsibility
- Dependable and clear communication, including with frustrated clients
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Employment contingent on a background check
- Invoicing, accounts receivable, or billing operations experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Property management, multifamily, or commercial real estate experience is a plus, not a requirement
- NetSuite or another ERP system experience is a plus, not a requirement
