Job Description

Remote biostatistics consultant supporting oncology clinical-trial analyses, CDISC data standards, and publications for Sigma Systems. Part-time six-month contract guiding SAS/R analyses and statistical programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary biostatistician for a study within a project team
  • Support study closeout activities
  • Review, validate, and execute statistical analyses
  • Review and finalize analysis datasets
  • Support data quality and consistency checks
  • Generate tables, figures, and listings
  • Interpret statistical results
  • Contribute statistical content for publications
  • Address publication-related statistical questions
  • Provide guidance to statistical programmers developing SDTM/ADaM datasets and TLF specifications
  • Perform quality checks on statistical programming efforts as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, the Medical Strategy lead, and publications specialist
  • Help ensure analyses and outputs are scientifically rigorous, accurate, and publication-ready

Requirements:

  • PhD or MS in statistics or biostatistics
  • Ideal 3-year experience for PhD holders or 5-year experience for MS holders in clinical trials
  • Broad and thorough understanding of statistical principles, current statistical designs and methodologies, and their applications in clinical trials
  • Effective writing and communication skills; ability to explain complex statistical design, methodology, decision rules, analysis plans, and statistical reports clearly
  • Experience with Bayesian modeling and analysis
  • Experience with SAS programming, R programming, and other statistical software
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and their application in oncology clinical trials
  • Experience with CDISC SDTM and ADaM data standards
  • Ability to guide statistical programmers on SDTM/ADaM datasets and TLF specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to statistical analysis and programming output accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Part-time schedule: 10–15 hours a week for the first three months, then 5–10 hours per week until the engagement ends
