Job Description
Drone pilot capturing inspection imagery of wind turbine blades for Zeitview, an intelligent aerial imaging company. Conducting safe field operations across US remote job sites with extensive travel.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct drone operations with a high level of safety conformity in accordance with industry best practices
- Complete data collection, initially focused on external inspections of wind turbine blades, expanding to other wind turbine and energy infrastructure inspections
- Support Operations in successful data capture across multiple verticals
- Provide detailed feedback to product and engineering teams on Zeitview or OEM technology
- Determine collection strategy based on project requirements
- Operate and diagnose remotely controlled apparatus in challenging conditions
- Maintain and publish current statuses using mission tools
- Plan and assist in developing operations training and workflows
- Communicate with local stakeholders to determine operational requirements
- Travel to and from remote job sites throughout the United States
- Assist with training or special projects when requested
Requirements:
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Experience with complex data capture techniques using a drone
- Comfortable with 75% domestic travel in support of operations
- Global Wind Organization training certifications or willingness to complete the courses
- Previous experience handling external inspection of wind turbine towers and blades is ideal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting rigid deadlines
- Ability to adapt to different working environments
- Experience implementing and managing client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and individuals and reach consensus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs easily
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work at heights
- Ability to work outdoors year-round
- Submission to random drug screens and background checks
- Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time (3 weeks on / 1 week off)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer requirements must be disclosed
