Job Description

Build Engineer improving CI/CD, release systems, and automation for Simformotion’s Cat Simulators software. Supporting reliable delivery across multiple products and engineering platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of build and release systems across multiple products
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and deployment workflows
  • Support and improve development workflows using Bamboo, Jira, and other Atlassian products
  • Build, refine, and troubleshoot integrations between build systems, issue tracking tools, source control, and related engineering platforms
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, producers, and technical leadership to identify bottlenecks and improve development efficiency
  • Write clean, maintainable, documented, and efficient automation code and configuration
  • Debug and improve build performance, infrastructure reliability, and pipeline stability across multiple environments
  • Participate in technical discussions, the full development lifecycle, technical planning, and delivery in an agile environment
  • Assist with integrating modern tooling, AI-assisted workflows, and scalable infrastructure practices
  • Contribute to technical documentation, process improvements, engineering best practices, tooling strategy, pipeline strategy, and server architecture discussions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in build engineering, DevOps, release engineering, software infrastructure, or a related field
  • Experience supporting or improving CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems
  • Familiarity with Bamboo and Jira in a software development environment
  • Experience with or exposure to integrating Jira and other Atlassian products into engineering workflows
  • General understanding of software delivery processes, build workflows, release practices, and dependency management
  • Experience with source/version control systems such as Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through technical challenges with guidance when needed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on time-critical projects
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful completion of a background check

  • Bonus: experience with Azure Pipelines or other modern CI/CD platforms
  • Bonus: experience improving legacy build systems or transitioning workflows to updated tooling stacks
  • Bonus: interest in AI-enabled tooling
  • Bonus: experience with Unity build pipelines, Unity Package Manager, and command-line scripts
  • Bonus: experience with telemetry systems, large-scale data workflows, or data-intensive technical environments
  • Bonus: understanding of large data management and telemetry concepts
  • Bonus: experience supporting teams across multiple products, platforms, or technical stacks
  • Bonus: understanding of Unity shader pipelines, Forward+ rendering, shader keyword management, and variant stripping
  • Bonus: familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
