Job Description

Business Intelligence Engineer contributing to state-of-the-art data platform for leading financial institution. Collaborating with stakeholders to transform raw data into insights-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear, actionable analytics solutions.
  • Build and optimize SQL queries, views, and data models to ensure high performance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through validation, testing, and monitoring.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data models, dashboards, and metrics definitions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems and data pipelines, resolving issues proactively.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from business teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams to improve data architecture and tooling.
  • Apply best practices for data visualization, dashboard usability, and storytelling.
  • Continuously improve existing reports and dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control policies.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas).
  • Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, optimization).
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
  • Strong data modeling skills for analytical and reporting use cases.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, SSIS, Informatica, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
  • Ability to perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with data engineers, product managers, and business teams.
