Job Description
Conduent call representative supporting South Carolina Medicaid members with eligibility and applications. Handling inquiries remotely in a bilingual English/Spanish customer service role.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to South Carolina Medicaid member inquiries in a call center environment using standard scripts and procedures
- Gather information, assess caller needs, research and resolve inquiries, and document calls
- Explain member eligibility and assist callers with completing Medicaid applications and checking application status
- Follow documented policies, procedures, call-handling requirements, and escalation processes
- Advocate for Medicaid members to ensure their needs are met
- Navigate multiple computer screens and access information from various applications
- Use five systems to gather information and document in up to three systems
- Handle escalated customer issues and provide high-quality service support
- Meet performance goals in a fast-paced call center environment
- Complete four weeks of training from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- Must submit to a pre-employment screening
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship
- Must pass the Call Center – Service Skills Assessment and Internet Speed test
- Minimum of 1 year of call center experience in telephone customer service or related experience
- Computer literacy and ability to use multiple programs and navigate multiple screens
- Comfortable working within established processes and procedures
- Customer service or call center experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
- One year of medical insurance or medical office experience preferred
