Job Description
Chief Engineer responsible for engine room operations and maintenance on Ro-Ro Cargo Vessel. Ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance while leading the engine crew in a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities:
- In charge of engine room operations and maintenance of all machinery.
- Ensure safe, efficient operation of main engine, auxiliaries, and electrical systems.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor fuel consumption, lube oil, and engine performance.
- Lead and manage engine crew, assign duties, and conduct training.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 12 months in rank with Engine type (4 stroke)
- Experience on Electronic engines is preferred.
- Holder of a valid COC (STWC Reg III/2)
- Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in the written and spoken English language.
