Job Description
CTO shaping AI-driven banking data products and European data-business strategy. Leading technology vision, roadmap, C-level sales, and customer use-case development.
Responsibilities:
- Position the company as a pioneer of data-driven business models in Europe
- Define how the financial industry will utilize data
- Drive the company’s technological vision, including new technologies and product concepts
- Maintain a consistent customer-centric focus
- Conduct C-level sales discussions independently
- Inspire decision-makers with technological foresight and clear business-value understanding
- Collaborate with customers to identify new use cases
- Develop viable business ideas and models from existing capabilities
- Own and prioritize the technology roadmap using data
- Ensure engineering and product teams focus on high-impact initiatives
- Partner with the founder and executive leadership to shape strategic direction
- Measure decision success using clear metrics
- Derive subsequent steps from performance insights
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or comparable technical leadership role
- Experience ideally within the FinTech or banking sector
- Entrepreneurial and visionary mindset
- Keen sense for emerging technologies
- Ability to derive promising business models independently from emerging technologies
- Strong hands-on mentality
- Ability to champion and advance ideas directly in client discussions
- Clear and persuasive communication with clients, teams, executive management, and decision-makers
- Deep technical understanding of modern cloud architectures
- Knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs
- Knowledge of data analytics and AI/ML stacks
- Understanding of banking security and regulatory requirements
- Fluent German at C1/negotiation level
- Fluent English at C1/negotiation level
- Additional foreign language skills ideally
