Job Description
Child and adolescent psychiatrist providing virtual anxiety and OCD treatment through InStride Health. Evaluating patients, managing medications, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary care teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, medication treatment plans, and ongoing medication management services to children and teens
- Collaborate with the InStride care team and outpatient pediatricians and psychiatrists
- Participate in clinical team meetings focused on patient care, collaboration, and education
- Schedule patients as indicated and complete documentation in a timely and thorough manner
- Provide feedback on workflow improvements and ideas for program growth and innovation
- Create and maintain a professional, friendly atmosphere for patients, families, staff, and referring physicians
- Collaborate closely with families, primary care physicians, and outpatient prescribers to meet patients’ needs
Requirements:
- New York MD licensure appropriate to the clinical discipline
- Openness to acquiring medical licenses beyond New York as care expands to additional states
- Commitment to compassionate, thoughtful treatment
- Expertise in medication management for children and teens with anxiety, OCD, depression, and ADHD
- Ability to complete documentation in a timely and thorough manner
- Comfort working on a care team and seeking or providing support
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Basic computer skills and facility with new technologies
