Job Description

Remote Client Coordinator preparing medical claims, records, and referrals for MES Solutions’ independent medical review services. Managing case files, databases, inquiries, provider assignments, and quality-assurance workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prepare medical claims, records, referrals, and supporting documentation for review and processing
  • Retrieve and organize claim-related materials from multiple sources
  • Ensure required documents are complete, accurate, and compiled into comprehensive case files
  • Respond to client and representative inquiries about questions, report status, concerns, and information requests
  • Enter and retrieve client or claimant information using systems and databases
  • Maintain daily contact with the QA department regarding workflow and pending report status
  • Contact providers for assignments and update the database
  • File and archive open and closed cases
  • Verify client information and document client-specific guidelines and rules in the system
  • Work independently and with team members to address questions and return cases promptly
  • Direct calls to other departments as needed
  • Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading
  • Assist with customer complaints and quality assurance issues
  • Notify management of report issues or concerns
  • Ensure practices comply with state and federal safety and legal regulations
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year clerical experience
  • Experience in a medical office or insurance industry preferred
  • Knowledge of general computers, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone
  • Knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
  • Ability to be trained on and adhere to HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
  • Qualified typist with a minimum speed of 40 W.P.M.
  • Ability to follow instructions and management directions accurately
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, responsibility for quality, and initiative to identify improvements
