Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure Architect designing and delivering AWS-based solutions. Working with enterprise clients to modernize cloud infrastructure and mentor junior consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Design complex, scalable, and secure AWS architectures based on client requirements
  • Create migration strategies for applications, data centers, networks, and workloads
  • Define infrastructure patterns and reusable frameworks for cloud adoption
  • Lead the deployment of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda
  • Execute large-scale migrations of applications, data, and networks
  • Troubleshoot issues during delivery and guide teams in implementing best practices
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements and validate designs
  • Provide guidance on industry trends, cloud capabilities, and modernization approaches
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Mentor junior consultants and share best practices internally
  • Develop documentation, templates, and repeatable assets for future engagements
  • Support internal learning and cloud capability development within Solvd.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years leading application or data center migrations to cloud
  • 5 or more years of experience with cloud networking design and migration
  • Strong proficiency across AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation
  • AWS Professional-level certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional
  • Hands-on experience with automation and scripting using Terraform or Python
  • Understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or GDPR
  • Familiarity with Federal Government security standards including ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations including networking, compute, and storage.
