Job Description
Coding Educator with expertise in E/M and Surgical Specialties for Banner Health. Developing training materials, providing education and maintaining documentation accuracy in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with development of education/training materials
- Coordinates training and development of staff
- Provides technical training in usage of information systems
- Conducts skill assessments and orientation for new hires
- Develops and maintains education calendars and records
- Provides onsite support for trainees
- Collaborates with teams to develop educational materials
- Monitors clinical documentation for coding accuracy
Requirements:
- Must possess CCS, RHIT, or RHIA Certification(s)
- 3+ years in E/M and Surgical Specialties Coding
- CPC or CCS-P Certification acceptable
- Excellent Coding and Auditing skills
- Experience with Health Information Management requirements and systems
- Strong public speaking and education skills
- Proficient in common office and presentation software
