Job Description
Commercial Manager leading fertilizer sales, distributor relationships, and agronomic strategy for Yara Tanzania. Driving growth across Tanzania’s southern region and developing the commercial team.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own sales targets for the South region of Tanzania, including volumes, product lines, customer segments and commercial targets
- Communicate value propositions by crop or key product and identify technical strategies for effective sales campaigns
- Align closely with the Agronomy team on integrated sales and agronomic strategies
- Coach and develop the commercial team on Yara crop nutrition concepts and key selling messages
- Own and deliver the Yara Brand and Communications Strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and retailers
- Create a synergistic culture and translate company strategy into meaningful team objectives
- Monitor, promote and safeguard Yara values and reputation in the region
Requirements:
- University degree in Agronomy, Agribusiness or related field
- Over 07 years of practical Sales and Marketing experience in the Agribusiness industry within a multinational organization
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role
- Strong knowledge of the Tanzania Agricultural sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Swahili language is an added advantage
- Excellent commercial acumen and strategic planning skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior government officials and other industry stakeholders
- Strong leadership, team management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills; highly motivated and result-oriented
- Advanced MS Office software skills
- Willingness to undergo reference and background checks where permitted by local law, when deemed necessary
