Job Description
Technical Support Specialist ensuring effective service portfolio delivery for ABB. Communicating with customers, executing technical support, and identifying sales opportunities in electrical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers
- Execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise
- Communicate with customers and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth
- Provides technical support and solves problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service
- Provides technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers
- Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively
- Manage customer relationships and maintain regular contact with key customers
- Identify new sales opportunities,
- Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative
- Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
- Work to reduce cost and improve the quality of delivery of service and projects
Requirements:
- Degree, HNC/D or relevant qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Switchgear Commissioning / Testing
- Expertise within electrical protection commissioning
- Extensive experience of SCADA applications, development and field support
- Strong background in Low/Medium-Voltage (LV/11kV/33kV) electrical distribution
- Knowledge in MS Office, ABB PCM600 Software, Omicron Test Universe
- Excellent understanding of the current H&S legislation
- Demonstrate excellent customer focus & timekeeping skills
- Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement
- Full valid UK driving licence
