Job Description
Corporate Accountant supporting financial operations at Kindbridge, a behavioral health startup. Managing day-to-day accounting, month-end closing, and revenue cycle activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll support, and general ledger activities
- Perform hands-on accounting tasks such as data entry, billing support, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Support revenue cycle management (RCM) activities, including billing, collections, payment posting, and discrepancy resolution
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Enter, review, and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist with cash application, invoicing, and reconciliation of payer and patient accounts
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for internal stakeholders and external audits
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical, operations, and billing teams to ensure accurate financial workflows
- Identify and support process improvements to increase efficiency and data accuracy across accounting and RCM functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, healthcare, or services environment
- Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience required
- Hands-on QuickBooks experience required
- Working knowledge of GAAP and basic financial reporting principles
- Experience supporting AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and data entry
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage routine, repeatable accounting tasks accurately
- Experience with healthcare billing systems, EMRs, or practice management software preferred
- Experience with KIPU or similar EMR platforms a plus
