Job Description
Cortex cybersecurity consultant architecting SOC transformation solutions for Palo Alto Networks customers. Leading technical demonstrations, Proof of Value projects, and customer security architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Cortex portfolio expert for SOC Transformation
- Define technical solutions that secure customers’ key business imperatives
- Evangelize Security Intelligence and Automation, XDR, Attack Surface Management, SOAR, and Incident Response solutions
- Collaborate with account teams to recommend and develop customer solutions
- Present to customers from practitioners to senior leadership
- Act as the main technical point of contact for Cortex and respond to RFIs/RFPs
- Lead and support customer demonstrations
- Scope and lead Proof of Value projects for prospective customers and partners
- Drive technical validation and Proof of Value win rates
- Discuss product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
- Architect solutions that strengthen and simplify customers’ security posture
- Document High-Level Designs and Key Use Cases
- Help customers build and develop services around Cortex solutions
- Lead conversations about industry trends and changes in the security landscape
- Position Palo Alto Networks or partner-delivered services for implementation and value realization
- Initiate projects to improve team performance and help others adopt organizational policies
- Communicate customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in Security Operations or pre-sales/sales engineering within SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or XDR/EDR environments
- IBM QRadar design, deployment, and/or pre-sales experience highly desirable
- Experience working with customers
- Solid understanding of Security Operations Center processes
- Advanced knowledge of SIEM and/or SOAR solutions
- Scripting experience is a plus; Python preferred
- Proficient in English
- Must be able to support a field sales position; travel may be required for in-person customer meetings
