Job Description

Patient Advocate Representative handling patient calls, insurance verification, authorizations, and reorder processing. CCS Medical delivers home medical supplies and chronic care management nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and process authorizations for reorders
  • Resolve patient issues and ensure accurate reorder processing via phone, document processing, and medical record validation
  • Ensure patients have required medical documentation for billing of assigned services
  • Maximize the patient base through retention efforts and cross-selling via phone
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and referral sources
  • Troubleshoot new and existing patient concerns and add services
  • Verify and explain insurance coverage to patients
  • Audit supply configurations against supporting documentation, formulary requirements, and manufacturer capabilities
  • Maintain understanding of medical documentation, insurance requirements, and company procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality when accessing sensitive information
  • Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and flexibility to meet department needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Customer Service Experience Preferred
  • Proficient computer literacy
  • Strong keyboarding ability
  • Ability to key data accurately while maintaining strong listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional phone and email etiquette
  • Evening and weekend availability may be required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
