Job Description
Cyber Network Security Engineer building, designing, testing perimeter security systems for GDIT. Focus on securing network infrastructure for federal government missions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all Network security hardware, software, cloud security services
- Collaborate with CyberOps and OCIO support staff
- Drive key outcomes and resolve challenges
- Plan and implement hardware/software refresh of Palo Alto devices
- Conduct firewall rule set reviews and auditing for standards
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures
Requirements:
- 10+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship required
- 10+ years IT network engineering support experience
- IPv6 knowledge and implementation experience
- 3+ years supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Competence with Linux and firewall command line interfaces
- Expert experience with security devices: Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint
- Intermediate Linux experience with command line
- Experience in developing quality assurance review of engineering change orders
- Experience with network monitoring applications such as Splunk
